One of our storage mezzanine success stories
Optimising furniture storage with a JSW multi-tier mezzanine floor
Mezzanine floors are known to offer a flexible storage solution in warehouses. Not the sky, but the height of the building is the limit here. In the case of this national furniture chain, their warehouse allowed for a three-tier mezzanine floor for heavy-duty and large-size storage. A capacity of 750 kg/m2 uniformly divided load allows the business to flexibly use the mezzanine floor for storage purposes. Features include the integration with an industrial lift, safety pallet gates made in-house and a 60-minute fire protection finish to the mezzanine carried out by John Scott Works.
It takes a specialist to design, manufacture and install a multi-tier mezzanine floor, whether it has two or eight tiers. The capacity of the concrete slab must be considered by qualified engineers. In production, the support columns must be manufactured to a tight tolerance for straightness: this is where the certified quality and accuracy of robot welding at the JSW factory come in. For effective installation, specialist access equipment and a keen eye for detail are required to ensure the mezzanine is installed correctly and the interface with the elevator and other equipment is spot-on. Installation teams and supervisors employed directly by John Scott Works deliver this build quality.
